Sub-programme 1.5: Office of the Director-General: To provide operational support to the Director-General. The Sub-programme provides strategic operational and administrative support services to the Director-General, manages departmental responses to parliamentary questions and assists with communication between the Director-General and relevant role players and to institutionalise Knowledge Management in the department. Sub-programme 1.6: Financial Management: To ensure effective budget management, departmental financial accounting services and the application of internal control measures, as well as the management of provisioning, assets, procurement and the departmental records and general support services. Sub-programme 1.7: Strategic Communication: To coordinate external communication and public engagement in order to ensure that the Western Cape Government communicates its strategic goals and service delivery outcomes to the people of the Western Cape.
